A Bono Message

A friend of mine told me about this wonderful message U2's Bono gave a few weeks ago at the National Prayer Breakfast.  OK, I'm a little late.  But it's a great little sermon.  Check it out.

"Cartoon Violence"

Has anyone noticed the abundance of newspaper and web page headline that contain the wordplay "Cartoon Violence?" Or "Cartoon Causualties." So people are dying at these events. Radical fundamentalists are threatening free speech. It's the defining conflict of our time and the Media is thinking, "Hmm? What clever play on words can I come with that makes us look above it all?"

Cartoon Violence. Okay. We get it. Very funny. Now please just go back to covering Brangelina.

A Challenging Conference

Last week Pam and I spent three days at Trinity Institute's conference on "The Anatomy of Reconciliation."  Our good friend Bob Scott is the director there.  The speaker's were very challenging for the most part.  You can view their presentations here.  My favorite was James Allison.  The text of his presentation is online here.  I'm still trying to digest it.
